The Bombay Beach Wetland Restoration Project is a partner project with Audubon which aims to stabilize, preserve, and enhance an existing emergent wetland and surrounding area over approximately 564 acres adjacent to the community of Bombay Beach.

The purpose and goal of this project is to stabilize and expand vegetation on the exposed lakebed and remove the invasive tamarisk species. The project will provide habitat and dust suppression benefits.

The Bombay Beach Wetlands Project is progressing through design sets and environmental permitting. When all permits are received, and design is at 100% this project will go out to bid for construction.
